We don't need another day of hunting! Keep this day for nice walks in fall weather without the worry of being shot! Let's keep this day for the children playing in the woods!!! Don't be so GREEDY! It's not going to bring in more money for the state. Let the bikers, hikers and all enjoy the woods too!
I had always understood the "day of rest" to be for the animals hunted. To give them a time without pursuit, to let them "reset" to a normal pattern. This - I would think - would be desirable from the hunters perspective. The longer their hunted w/o rest, the more hidden & "dug in" they become.
My reason for not allowing hunting on Sunday is that it is the only day of the week that families can safely hike through the woods without worry of hunters.
OHIOMOM, You have to be a vegetarian because there's no differences between hunting and butchering cattle, hogs or chicken. You have to be a tree hugging liberal
I wouldn't object to hunting on Sunday for religious reasons. A lot of people like to hike and be in the woods. For my part it would be nice to have more than one day a week without having to worry about taking a bullet, if I want to be out taking pictures or hiking. But less than one day? Nope.
Item C-------65% ????????? A lot of hunters will tell you "hunting" is a "day of rest".
NOTE; How about the Sentinel take a "poll" on the percentage of people who have a job that work on Sunday.full-time,part-time & compare the percentage's.

Hunting of any kind is barbaric. It shouldn't take place on any day of the week!
